Chamomile
Including teas and candles, chamomile is the most famous of medicinal herbs. Chamomile is a cousin of the daisy, and its extract has been in use for 2000 years. Its effects as a calming agent are famous and known in mnay old cultures. It is also considered to positively affectt skin conditions, digestive problems and headaches. Chamomile is utilized as aid against acne to blood pressure, and it matches with similar therapeutic aromas, so explore away!
Lavender
Another one that’s been around for millenia. In many cultures it is used for anxiety relief and amelioration of physical side effects of stress, like headaches and insomina. Taken as tea, people claim that it eliminates toxins and lowers body temperature during sickness. Generally, emotions are also balanced by Lavender and it meshes easily with cousin aromatherapy scents. It is said that emotions are brought into balance by this herbal plant, and again, it is one of the most widely used and easily blended with other similar scents.
Ylang Ylang
A tropical tree extract that has therapeutic and aphrodisiac properties. This scent brings relaxation, wellness and comfort. In many asian countries it is also used as treatment for physical ailments like rapid breathing, premenstrual tension, fever, and High Blood pressure. The aroma is often used in products like romance candles, but someitmes the scent can be overwhelming.
Patchouli
Not just for the hippies among us, patchouli is a Asian perennial herb. It’s been used in asia as medicine– as antiseptic and insecticide– not to mention as an aphrodisiac. It is believed to alleviates skin and stress disease and make you look fashionably fabulous for the winters.
